I am going to buy the book tonight. My boyfriend of 11 months and I saw the movie "Fireproof" which features this book this past weekend. We have a great relationship, but no one is perfect. I know of my flaws definitely. I think he is perfect, but he thinks that he isn't the best partner. My parents are in the process of getting divorced right now. Their marriage was full of nothing but hate, resentment, and cursing at one another. I don't want any of their mistakes to come through me as their child, so I am taking the love dare to strengthen my relationship with my boyfriend and be the best partner that I can. November 8, 2008 is our one-year anniversary. We are both Christians and plan on getting married one day. I am a freshman Computer Science major and he is attending a fire academy to become a firefighter. That's why we saw the movie in the first place (he thought it would be cool since it had a firefighter). I didn't want to see the movie because I knew it was about romance and would make me cry. I wanted to see Eagle Eye, instead. =P By the end of the movie, even he was in tears! Without saying it we both knew that we would take this Love Dare. Like I said before, I believe that any relationship can benefit from this book. By keeping God in your hearts, anything is possible.
I really do hope you and your spouse work things out. I have seen too many lives ruined by love gone bad. My prayers are with you.
God bless,
Morgan

I haven't read it, and hadn't even heard of it until I read your question. But just now I looked it up on Amazon and read the first chapter on patience, and it looks really good. I think I will order it. I wish you very well with it. "Love never fails" 1 Cor 3:18, it doesn't get any plainer than that. I bet if we do the things in the book, we'll have good results. Hang in there, even if it takes your hubby a while to respond.
