Holy Cow!! Our friend, Snoop, is gonna be a DAD!! Congratulations! Yeahhhhh, way to go, Snoop! Atta Boy! ! ☺ ♥ ☺
Well, I am prejudiced because our son's name is Jordan. So many of your friends and fans here have come up with some funny suggestions as well as some really cute possibilities. LOL, I love the one where the lady named her dog, Zamboni. That is too cute and I hope that she got a dog that is going to be monster sized. ;)
I have to tell you that we have all missed you, Snoop, and it is just absolutely wonderful that you decided to make a cameo appearance here to let us all know about your impending fatherhood!!
Here are a few names I that I am going to 'put into the hat' for your consideration.
BOYS
Jordan
Eric
Mark
Bobby
Max
Jason
Colin
Brett
Shayne
Ryan
GIRLS
Jaci or Jackie
Renee
Alexandra "Alex"
Kristin "Kris"
Danielle "Dani"
Nicole "Nikki"
Stephanie "Stevie"
Jamie
Camille "Cami"
Once again, Congrats To You! Being a parent is so awesome! And we know you are going to make a great DAD.
As far as starting a child out in skating, I would say that 5 -6 is
plenty old for a child to understand the basics of Ice Hockey. If
the child can to to school at that age, then hey! They are ready
for H O C K E Y!
.

Hey man, congratulations!! Good to see you again and hear some good news! I would think Mario or Stanley for a boy, like the others have said, or maybe Richard. And I'm not sure what would be a good hockey name for a girl... Cammi (like Cammi Granato) would be a good name, like Joe said. That's actually a really nice-sounding name, hockey-related or not.

If you want to keep a hockey theme How about, Cooper,Christian, or Bauer for boys.
For girls how about Sarah( both USA goalies from 1998 were named Sarah) or Erin as in Whitten the first female goalie to play in the minors before Manon

As a Leafs fan I can offer Teeder as a great name for either a boy or girl. Syl works for either as well. Davey for a boy or Keon for a girl. Gilmour works for either as well.
If I were a Canadiens fan I would suggest Maurice or Maureen. Jean or Jean works well as well. The modern teams don't have great names. But since you're a Penguins fan Sidney swings both ways and I know both male and female Eugenes. (Eugenie for the distaff side)
But for a real hockey forum flavour name the boy Tom after me (LITY is a pretty tough name to lug around) or Haley (with one Y) after we know who?
Congrats and enjoy. Your child is truly blessed to have a mother as open minded as she must be to put up with you.
Peace and Love,
Tom
