Which is a more powerfull Car?
Earlier this year i had an 03 Toyota Corolla 1.4 16v and Im looking at buying a 2000 VW Golf 1.6 8V. Im not buying a car to go racing in but im generally just interested, which one is more powerfull?
My insurance is going to be higher for the 1.6 8v but surely a 1.416v would be quicker? hmmm would appreciate an answer!

The Corolla produces 95bhp, giving 0 - 60 in 11.6 seconds & a 115mph top speed.
The Golf has 100bhp, 0 - 60 in 10.6 & 117mph.
Multivalve engines are usually tuned for economy, not power.
