How can I prevent front wheels of lawn mower from bending out ?

I own a 9 year old craftsman 6.0 mower and though it works well the front wheels keep on bending outward - sort of duck foot like. I bend them back but it keeps on happening . Any suggestions for remedies ?

I'm not sure how the wheels are mounted but if t6hey're mounted on a plate that attaches to the body of the mower try drilling a couple small holes in the front of each plate and attaching a wire to keep said plates from bending out.

I have the same problem. Anxious to see the answers. I thought it was just designed that way. Mine is a Toro.
