WIll I go in labor soon? 1 cm 50% efface at 36 weeks?
I went to L & D the other night for headache and was told I am 1cm and 50% efface. This is my 2nd child but I did this 7 yrs ago so its been a while ladies. I have been walking and resting. I will be going on my maternity leave this week from work @ 37 weeks. I guess what I am asking is being that I am effacing so fast will I go in labor soon?
I have been having regular BH's for the past few days, mucus plug is slowly coming out (no bloody show yet) and diarrhea. I had my son at 35 weeks when I had some of these signs. But I know every pregnancy is different

Honey, I have been stuck at 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced for nearly two weeks now. There is no way to know unfortunately. You could go full term (or over), or you could dilate quickly and go into labor tonight. However, remember that 80% of women give birth either 5 days before or 5 days after your due date. Hmmm...maybe today is my lucky day.

It all depends. I was about 1cm dilated for my last month of pregnancy and never had a contraction or anything. I went past my due date and nothing happened until a week after my due date when my water broke and still when I got to the hospital I was still only 1 cm. It took me all day to get to 10. Its all different for everyone because you could turn around and be 7cm next week. Hopefully you will wait a little while and not dilate more till it gets closer to 40 weeks. Good luck :)

Every woman is different. Some woman get fully dilated right quick while others are a long time. I've known people stuck at 1-2cm's for a week or more. Baby is going to come when he/she is ready I guess.
