These are SO fun! Go to Michaels, AC Moores or any kind of arts and crafts store. There are normally whole areas in the store dedicated to nothing but scrapbooking. What is the purpose/main idea of your scrapbook?

The books, depending on the size and design can range from $10.00-50.00. The design stuff you put in them can range-because this does depend on what you want in there. Just go to the arts store and scan the aisles for yourself!

I haven't made a whole scrapbook, but did start making individual page layouts. I made one for each of my kids on their birthday, with pictures of them, a poem, and that scrapbooky sticker, pin, bling... I found some great ideas in the page gallery on the Memory Makers website:

    http://memorymakersmagazine.com/page_ideas.aspx

But there are also some cool things at a site called MyCraftivity.com

Michaels has great stuff - even pre-packaged books with all you would need. I think those cost about $20 or so - but it all depends on how fancy you want to make it.

I have made one scrapbook for my Grandma a few years ago. It probably cost under $30. I had a pretty book, background paper for photos, lettering and stickers and removable adhesive.

I gathered a bunch of photos of family...made a page each for my Grandma, Grandpa, Dad, sister, myself...and a few pages for extended family photos. It only took me a few days and turned out really nice. I wrote a special message on the inside cover. My Grandma used to show it off to everyone! I'm glad it made her so happy.

i bought the basic scrap book. An a3 large suger paper book from my $1 stationery shop! and then i went on holiday to germany and got things like a postcard, the wrapper to a weiner sausage, photos of me in a beer garden, my areoplane ticket and tickets I used whilst in germany such as trains or bus! i also put pages and PAGES of photos of happy times and memeories taht make me feel happy!

it didnt cost much and scrap books are probably as cheap as $1 or£1 or whatever! and you just collect things that mean lots to you! and only certain things cost only a couples of dollars such as the photos or bought things especially for the scrap book such as postcards etc

Ask this question in Games & Recreation - Hobbies & Crafts

Or put your question in the search for questions box as this has been asked many times. Some of your answers so far are just for primitive scrapbooks not the far more sophisticated scrapbooks also known as Memory Albums.

i've done a couple. they usually aren't real expensive but it just depends on how much you put in it and what you choose. i made one for my grandma for christmas one year that was a little expensive but only because i had to photocopy a lot of pictures, probably $50-$60. the one i'm doing for my son hasn't been that expensive because you can find a lot of paper, stickers, etc for cheap maybe, $30 so far and that's just because the book was like $15.

    Yes i did!

It cost me hardly a thing really

I write down all my thoughts and then make a kinda collage out of them

and arrange in many designs and form

and eventually it makes sense to ME! lol

and then i can derive meaning from those words and use them to enhance my poetry writing!

it's the easiest most effective objective/goal for me

    thanks for asking! :P
