Does anyone pay somebody to clip their horse for them?

When I'm clipping somebody's horse for money, I provide the clippers (BIG Sunbeams for body clip is worth $150.00 for a body clip.), Bridlepath and boot, $30.00.

The harder the horse is to clip, the more it costs...Actually I've only had one that I had any real problems with in over 30 years of clipping horses.

I was a groom by profession in college. I offered clipping of all kinds and would charge $150 for a full body clip and $100 for a blanket clip. I had my own clippers, but some farms will let you use theirs. I also banded and braided manes at shows for others. I got $25 for bands and $50 for braids.

I pay our groom $80 for a hunter clip. I provide the clippers.

I have never tried to clip a horse, I would always pay.

There is a lady who sometimes teaches where I ride, and she groomed for years- for spruce meadows, I believe for horse trials down in florida etc. etc. and I know she does clipping, but Im not positive on the price- a lady tod me it was about 100$. In my opinion, its very worth it- you can trust them to do a good job and not make it look crappy and they will- they should, otherwise they shouldn't be charging, have the equipement to do the job.

If you hire someone, then generally speaking, they should be able to do any clip you want- it will probably cost more for a larger clip- the 100$ one I was talkin about was for.. I believe, a full body clip.

Search around and look for someone who was recommended to you by someone, that way you know they will do a good job!.

I haven't done it in years but it used to be that you would pay around $35 for a trace-clip and $50 for full body. The person you hire should provide the equipment, otherwise you might as well do it yourself right? :)
