Computer Crash Question?

I have a 2 year old computer and about 3 days ago I got a "Virtual Memory Low" error on my computer. Everything was running fine until just now when it won't boot. I can access the BIOS but I can't boot into safemode or anything. What could cause this problem?? The initial "Dell" symbol will flash for the first 2 seconds but then I will just get a blank screen with a cursor and nothing else. Any suggestions???

Update:

No blunt trauma, no sites, can't boot to the HD so I can't clean it up...

If you can get to the BIOS, but the computer will not boot there is a problem with the hard drive. Start by changing to a different power line on the power supply. Check both the ribbon & power cables to make sure they are plugged in all they way. With the computer on see if you can here the hard drive spinning, if not use a screwdriver handle & tap on the hard drive lightly. If none of these things help then most likely your hard drive is dead. I hope you do backs regularly.

Has there been any blunt trauma to the PC or have you been to any suspicious sites recently? That's all I could think of.

clean up your hard drive, itr running out of space (=virtual memory : a piece of harddisk used as temporary storage)
