  • If you are a bodybuilder, do you frequently use growth hormones or other compounds to stimulate tissue growth?

I am doing a school project on IGF-1 which is stimulate when people inject growth hormones into their body. I wanted to know what percentage of the bodybuilding population uses HGH/GH to enhance themselves and what percentage doesn't. Thanks ahead of time, and if you know of other people you work out with that do or do not use GH, could you give me those numbers as well? Such as 3 of the 7 I know use them?

  • What is this sensation I am feeling in my damaged finger?

In 1997 I was a little kid and I was hanging from a shelf in my parents closet when I placed my finger on a nail and it ripped open a centimeter of my finger. I have always had a deep scare there and a solid mass below the scar (I never got stitches). In the last three days I have felt this weird pain in the scar. I don't know how to describe the pain but it isn't sharp or a tingle. If you are a male, it feels like the sensation you get when you first give yourself a testicular exam. It is this super uncomfortable feeling which is happening around the clock and actually is hindering me from doing work. I just want to rip out my finger... What is causing this, I can't get a doctors appointment for a month, any clues PLEASE

  • I need help finding a good book to read, can you guys offer some suggestions?

I generally like the works of Michael Crichton as they have a sense of mystery and cutting edge science (I'm an under read scientist). I also like the spy books of Robert Ludlum because they have great plot and are very descriptive. I also enjoy Dan Brown but there are better authors. I have read all the books by the aforementioned authors so I wanted to know if anyone had some suggestions based on what you can take away from my preferences in authors as to which other authors or books I should start reading next? Thanks for the help in advance and throw out as many suggestions as possible!!! I want to start reading more!!

  • How do I keep my curly hair looking wet for the whole day without using gel or mousse?

I am a male with very long very curly hair (like Sayid from LOST). I love having it this long and in the morning after I shower and while it is still wet, it looks great but as the day progresses and it dries it goes everywhere. I use to use gels and mousse to keep it looking wet; however, all the gelled hair that behind my neck area gets cracked from normal movement so I have two phases of hair that looks terrible. Slick curls on the top and a fro in the back (almost looks Mullet-esque). What product can I put in my hair to keeps my curls? Someone suggested something called "serum," would that would? What do you guys recommend? Like I said, I'm a guy so I don't know much about these products nor do I own a blow drier but I am willing to buy one if needed because someone also suggested using the serum and a blow drier with a "diffuser" attached. Please Help Me Out!!!

  • Show I see a tax accountant or should I just e-file my taxes?

I'm 22 years old and for the first time in my life I will not be counted as a dependent upon my parents tax forms. I have always had a job so for the last 5 years I have been doing H&R Block e-files. This year I will make money from 2 jobs (totaling around 12k) and I will also be receiving a little income from stocks and interest. My question is should I continue using the e-file method or go and see a accountant? E-file is simple enough to use but if I see an accountant, I have the feeling they will be able to find all those loopholes and things of that nature that will maximize my tax return, will this be true? Also, I moved from a state that didn't have a state income tax to one that does, so that will be one more set of paperwork that I will have to deal with that I am not familiar with. What should I do in this situation? Thanks in advance!!

  • What do I do about my Car Title situation?

I just moved from Texas to New York and it is time to get my vehicle inspected by the State of NY. Well in order to get this inspection, I found out that I have to register my car in the state. The only problem is, the car title is in my parents name. What do we need to do in order for me to get my name on the title or get it to where I can register the vehicle without my parents being present (they are not going to fly up to NY from Texas just to register my car).

    Thanks

  • What is the role of a Groomsmen at a wedding?

I have been asked along with two of my other friends to be a groomsman at a wedding. I have never been a groomsmen or really ever been to a wedding so I need a little help. It is good sized wedding of ~200 people, mostly on the brides side. I am not the Best Man so I don't need a run down of what he does, but what do I do and what am I responsible for doing? One of my friends said I probably have to give a speech at the reception... Is this common? Can someone talk me through this because I am a little worried about disappointing the Groom. Can you please be super specific for that reason.

    Thanks in Advance!!!

  • I recently moved to a state with a State Income Tax and need help understanding the situation?

I'm 22 and got a new job in New York. While in Texas this year I earned about 5k and now that I have moved to New York I will have earned an addition 12k or so. Legally, I am a Texas resident but my question is which state should I be a resident of to minimize the amount I will be taxed or does it matter? Basically, should I become a New York state resident (which I will have to do eventually) BEFORE I file my returns or after?

    Thanks!!!

  • I've got a new job and I wanted to know how to start saving for retirement?

I'm 22 and recently got a job and make about 30k a year. My whole life I've been investing money in the stock market but I heard that I could invest in these IRA things and they would be a tax write off for me? This is my first real job and the first time I will be filing my taxes as an independent so I need to reduced my taxed income as much as possible. First off, can someone explain to me the difference between and IRA and a Roth IRA? Which would you think would be best for me? I'm looking for a safe place to put my money so that I can have it for when I retire. Next, where do I acquire the type of IRA you suggest? Can I go to an Edward Jones or something and get one from them? If I am getting interest on this investment, where does that money come from? Let's say I get another job down the road that has a 401K or something, can I still keep my IRA? Finally, if I die before I turn 60 or whenever it is that I can take the money out, will my kids (if I have some) be able to get that money?

  • I'm a man and need to lose quick weight before a wedding, what's the best method?

I have to go to a wedding in two weeks and have gained about 25 pounds since most of the people at the wedding have seen me. I want to look good for all the pictures and memories so I wanted to know the quickest and most efficient thing I could do to my body (don't answer with something silly like amputation) to shed about 10 pounds. I know it won't be healthy but I'll go back to my regular diet once the wedding is done. Could you please list a method such as run for X hours a day, eat just (specifics) __ __ and ___ all day. Or should I just starve myself for 2 weeks? I've never done something like this so I need major help!!!

  • How does someone with a US drug prescription go about getting it fulled in Canada legally?

My sister just had a surgery done and she will need some meds for a while now. We have health insurance but the drugs will still run us about $300 a month and that is a bit much for us to afford. I live near the Canadian border so I was wondering what is required for me to get the meds filled in Canada and then I'll take them back to her in America? I'm not worried about the border police or anything but I just wanted to know what is required of pharmacies in Canada to fill it.

Also, if you've ever done this could you tell me how it worked out for you?

    Thanks in advance!!

  • What's a Liquid with High Boiling Point but non-toxic and doesn't expand much?

Does anyone know of a liquid that meets the above requirements. By high boiling point I mean around 300F and expands very very little up until it reaches that boiling point. Preferable it is cheap too. Water is not a good idea because of the boiling point.

I have a 2 year old computer and about 3 days ago I got a "Virtual Memory Low" error on my computer. Everything was running fine until just now when it won't boot. I can access the BIOS but I can't boot into safemode or anything. What could cause this problem?? The initial "Dell" symbol will flash for the first 2 seconds but then I will just get a blank screen with a cursor and nothing else. Any suggestions???

  • I was just fired from a Job and wanted to know if it was just and if my rights were violated?

I worked part-time at a pizza restaurant. I've only been there for 2 weeks and the reason that I was terminated is because I told the manager that there was no way I could come to work on the 4th and 5th of July because my parents own a family business and they are attending and out of town wedding (6 hours away). He said that I was expected to work holidays and since my name was on the schedule I have to honor that. I requested the day off 2 weeks ago but he didn’t honor it. I told him I can't do that again because I have another obligation and he fired me and called me a d-bag amongst other things n front of all the other employees. While I am not bitter about it, it being a part time job and all, I was just wondering if this was a rightful termination. I want to get a little revenge because I don't appreciate being called a d-bag in front of everyone. How can I fight this? Can someone please help me out? Thanks a million guys!

  • I am going to attend school at Roswell Park and wanted to know the best part of Buffalo, NY to live in?

This is going to be a big move for me because I have lived in Texas for the last 18 years. A guy I met up there said I should live in Allentown which appearently is a part of downtown but it is hard to get information about it because no one knows this is the name of the neighborhood. My dad has a friend up there and he says I should live in Amhearst. Thoughts? Ideas? Suggestions? I will be getting an apartment and commuting everyday to Roswell Park so please take that into consideration because I am sure I will hate driving in snow seeing how I have never done it living in Texas! Thanks for the Help
