Why aren't there age divisions on YA? ?

Most questions come from kids. It'd be a lot more stimulating if more adults were involved.

Because children shouldn't be given free reign of any computer with internet access (not to protect them from predators, but to protect me from their inability to string together any logical thought!), and the adults should be out there being productive members of society.

I think that's why Yahoo didn't put age groups here... because really none of us should be spending this much time here.

a lot of adult are involved - u go to groups that deal with adult issues and u will find them.

u can tell by the questions and the ansa, sure u may get one or 2 dump questions a day if that but 98% are serious. visit all the groups and explore. because i use to think the same thing till i shopped around

Yes, you would think teens as young as 13 to 16 are focused on school and being young not future porn stars with the nasty questions they ask about sex. I am grown so sex is a prize for adults but these kids coming here asking about sex is like, go to bed, stay in school, get your diploma first. Then you have brainiac kids who seem smarter than a lot of adults on here, but they could be an adult pretending to be young so no one will bash their politically incorrect questions.

It isn't practical, how could such a restriction be enforced? You should also remember that chronologically young people can be quite capable of well considered and insightful questions and answers, just as some people in their 50s might not.

I agree with that. I don't like it when kids at the age below can see some adult questions posted.

Like everything else in the world, its all being over-run by preteens obsessing over every little thing. *sigh* they really do need separate sections, but that's wishful thinking 'cause i don't think any of them would want to be placed in "adolescent"

I like answering the questions from the younger kids, It makes me feel helpful. They NEED us older folks!! :@)

Hmm, that would make sense, but I guess people would go into a section that isn't for someone their age anyway.

Why should there be? We could all learn from each other's opinions, experiences, etc.
