It's perfectly safe. Bath water doesn't enter the vagina. If you're still bleeding a bit it may be a little messy, but not harmful at all.

They are safe. Your body will tell you when you get to hot. If you feel light head, faint or you are sweating your bath is way to hot. If you are unsure take a thermometer with you and take your temperature every 2 to 5 minutes. As long as you are below 102 you are safe. I personally never got above 99 and i take some pretty hot baths so.

You can have a bath from when your baby is born its just less messy in the shower if you are bleeding heavily. I would say get some nice bath salts/bubble bath, run a nice hot bath and enjoy . . .you're earned it!

Hun there is no reason not too, i had a section and had a shower after three days, i was told you should have a bath soon after a natural birth unless you had problems

Yes it is safe. What I did was put my daughter on a towel. Then I took a warm wash cloth( with very mild soap) and washed her body that way. I did that until she was was about two months...where she was able to hold her head up. After that, I put her in a baby bath with little water in it.
Source(s): Oh crap, I thought you were talking about the baby. I took sitz baths until after my 6 week check up. - 1 decade ago
A bath for you? I am sure it was no problem after the birth? I did everything as normal after my babies birth and I am pretty normal?didn'tt know there was a certain limitation to when you can bath again after giving birth??

I believe it is fine coz I had a sitz bath next day I delivered. As long as the water is clean to avoid infection.

It is safe... I took a shower in the hospital before I left. It will actually make you feel better.
