Who are these people? Why don't I know their names? Why aren't they famous?

Question

John McCain promised that he would report the names of any pork belly spenders ... He would report all Senators or Congressmen that try to add their own special earmarked provisions on bills.
John McCain promised that he would make their names famous!

Now please consider that 70% of the Republican Senators and Congressmen  first voted against the Bailout bill that John McCain said was absolutely necessary for Americas' economic survival.
Then the bailout passed six days later only after the deal was sweetened with earmarks for these recalcitrant Republican Senators and Congressmen.

So why hasn't John McCain reported these Senators and Congressmen like he promised he would? 
Why hasn't he made their names famous like he said he would do?

If he wouldn't or can't keep his promises now why would anyone think that he would keep his word after the elections?

John McCain also promised that he would run a clean, above-board campaign with no attacks ads. 
So much for McCain promises.
Senator McCain used to be such a fine and honorable man.
To bad that Rove politics ruined him.
But when it comes to honesty and integrity John McCain is still heads above George W. Bush, Dick Cheney and Sarah Palin.

Pretty much every single Congressional member has earmarks somewhere along the line--that's what they use in their re-election campaigns to show they work for their district.  I was shocked but not surprised to find that $150 billion of earmarks made their way into the so-called bail-out bill. 

If anyone thinks that McCain or any other President could do anything to change this system, they are smoking something really funny.
