runescape leveling question?

Hey, i'm kind of an expert in maging :P. First of all, if your strength for e.g. is 40 and your mage is 20 then it will probably be more harder to level up a combat skill because you didn't keep it balanced you see i would have 60 strength and 60 mage because then i could gain one combat level if i train STR. by 2 levels or Mage by 2 levels you can do this yourself and read more about it on this website: http://www.runehq.com/guide.php?type=calculator&id...

But still that doesnt answer your question, the only way to gain up both a warrior skill and mage ( you can only train defense not others like strength and attack) is if you wear a staff and it should say auto-cast with defense XP. I don't suggest this though because it shares half/half the xp with defense and mage so you would level magic alot slower. Hope this helped.

In order for your total combat level to increase you have to gain approximatly 5-6 levels in the different combat areas. Since your only leveling mage you'll have to get 5-6 magic levels to see any difference in your combat level.

hah, well, im a mage too, but in order to lvl up overall, you have to raise your strength, defense, and attack, and sometimes your health lvl, which happens if you jsut run around and play. have fun, what lvl are you? im like, 37...(and ya, im a girl...;D)
