Hey folks,if Ralph Nader is the Independent candidate, why wasn't he invited to any of these debates?

Are the Republicans and Democrats afraid of a third opinion?

Because the debates are corporate territory. They set the standards, which are unrealistic when third party candidates can't reach tens of millions of voters. Ralph Nader and other third party candidates have great ideas for this country. Main stream media has most of the American voting public mesmerized, especially in the rhetoric that Obama spews.

I want to believe the public is in a trance, because I just don't want to believe the working middle class could be this ignorant in not looking outside the box for answers. How much does our corporate run government have to ruin this country before "we the people" take it back.

Source(s): economic books, third party websites, Obama and McCain websites.

I love Nader's views, but realistically speaking, when it comes to politics, he's a joke.

So now, we have to use our vote wisely, and keep an even bigger joke, named John McCain from expanding that "giant sucking sound" Nader and Perot warned about.

He failed to meet the minimum support requirement. I think you have to score 5% on the national polls to be considered a viable candidate. That's seem fair enough. Perot did it in the 1990s.
