Sterling Arms 300 .25acp barrel takedown procedure?

How do I replace the recoil spring in a Sterling 300?

I have field stripped the gun and it looks like I will need to remove a pin or two to get the barrel out of the frame so I can replace the recoil spring. Anyone here done this on this particular model before?

I too have a Sterling Arms 300 and you don't have to remove the barrel to get the recoil spring off of it.

Remove the magazine, make sure the chamber is empty and then push in the button on the left side of the frame just above the grip until the striker pops out.

Pull the slide back approximately 1/2" and lift up on it. This will free the slide to move forward off the frame. Then, simply slide the recoil spring off the barrel.
