Kalimar f=500mm 1:8 camera lens. What does it fit?

My brother gave me a Kalimar No. K9460946 camera lens, it is almost 14 inches long. Does anyone know what kind of lens this is and what it will fit? I have tried to find out by every which way I could think of online but have had no luck. Please help if you can. THANKS!

Update:

scotinth, I would love to ask my brother, but he died from complications from his diabetes.

As your brother gave the lens to you why don't you just ask him these questions ?

An Update - I am truly sorry for your loss, unfortunately you said that your brother gave you the lens so obviously I had no idea he had passed away.

Most camera stores should be able to tell you what fitting the lens has and advise you accordingly.

Kalimar is an independent lens vendor that sells lenses to fit a variety of makes of camera. There may be some clue to that printed on the lens itself somewhere. As for what type of lens, it's a telephoto of rather small aperture; probably a fairly cheap one. As for what camera it fits, if it doesn't say you could take it to a camera store with a knowledgeable staff for identification.

you need to give more info,

somewhere on the lens is an identifier as the the type of mount its for.

maybe embedded in the metal at the small end you might see md,fd,om or something, or somewhere on the lens are soe numers or something,

Source(s): f=500mm 1:8 and the serial number arent enough info

Diabetics can eat anything a non-diabetic can eat. You just have to make an adjustment for carbs/sugars. Learn here https://tr.im/x15TB

It is better for diabetics to eat slow burning carbs: potatoes, peanut butter, vegetables, breads, dairy products, etc. VS. fast burning carbs: candy, sugared soda, cakes, ice cream, anything high in sugar. Just know what your carb/insulin ratios (how much insulin you have to give yourself for the amount of carbs you are intaking) are. Adjust according to the amount of carbs(sugars) you are intaking. And, you should be fine. Natural sugars are better than processed sugars.
