What do I need to buy to play wii games?

Nothing really. It comes with everything right out of the box =] You may want to buy an extra remote for $40 and a nunchuck for $20 so you could play with some more people ^_^ It even comes with Wii Sports, so you have something to play.

you need to buy a Wii and that is really all you need. The Wii will come with Wii sports. That should keep you going for a few weeks but then your going to want to buy a few more games. I would check out http://orderwii.net/ . Look at the bundle deals you can get a system and a bunch of games in one. Then you will have enough to have fun for a long while.

1. You have to buy the actual wii which will cost around $220.

2. It comes with one disk with 5 games on it and one controller. If you are satisfied with "Wii Sports" (tennis, bowling, boxing, baseball, golf) then you are done.

If you aren't satisfied then you have another step

3. Go to Best Buy or Circuit City and ask them to help you find games you might like.

You just need to buy the console which comes with one wii remote controller, a nunchuk controller and wii sports which is a game with 5 different games on it (bowling, boxing, golf, tennis and baseball). Then you can just buy your own games for it and any additional controllers you may need.

Anyway,you need to buy the wii,around $400,two controllers(the wii comes with one).The zapper for shooting games for a more arcade-like experience which is around $20,a controller charger(in case you run out of batteries)around $20-$30, and that's it.
