What to do when someone wont take no for an answer?
This women i babysit for son gave me a horrible stomach virus. (i know bc he had it this week) After watching him last night, I have increasingly become sick, so sick that i have started puking uncontrollably. When I called to cancel 1 1/2 hr ahead of time she told "she doesnt care, she still needs me". WTF?!? Why are ppl so horrible. I even offered to have a friend fill in, that wasn't good enough. She has been calling me 10x in a row insisting I go. What am I do when people refuse to take no for an answer and are cruel???
i thought the health of their child and my health would be a factor for ppl to be understanding.

Stop answering the phone. If she does not trust your judgment in this instance (how sick you are and by recommending someone who could watch the child in your place) then she has no business having you watch her kids. If you want tell her, "Please stop calling me, I am sick and am not coming your time would be better spent trying to get another sitter" If she fires you then so be it, if she's this horrible about you being ill do you really want to continue working for her? I know times are hard but your sanity comes first.

I would ignore her phone calls honestly. You went out of your way to help her out by offering for a friend to babysit instead and yet she still expects you, being sick as a dog, to come watch her kid, the heck with that!

1 1/2 hour a head? wow
If you're be able to sit on the comp, and type. Then you're probably be able to baby sit a kid for a couple of hours.

VERY SIMPLE, SAY ..." I AM SICK, I WILL NOT BE COMING OVER AND IF CONTINUE TO CALL ME AND INTERRUPT MY REST, I WILL NOT GET BETTER AND WILL NOT BE ABLE TO BABYSIT UNTIL I GET BETTER, SO NOW I AM GOING TO TAKE MORE MEDICINE, GO TO BED, AND PLEASE STOP CALLING, I WILL CALL YOU IN THE MORNIG OR LATER TO LET YOU KNOW HOW I FEEL"
