It rewards mediocrity and discourages trying to better yourself.

No matter how hard a person tries, under socialist economics which is where Obama and others want to take us, you will NEVER advance. Therefore after a while you stop trying.

Easy. If you have made your billions by exploiting people to the bone, then maybe you can give back a bit. Multi-billionaires and millionaires can afford to pay into the society that has made them so filthy rich. Why should the ordinary Joe always be the one to pay the majority of the taxes while the wealthy get away with no or little tax because they have lawyers and loopholes on their side?

Really people need to face the facts. If you give someone lets say $5000. That could help them in the short term but how does it help them in the long term? Once they have spent the money it doesn't provide any real ability to accumulate wealth for themselves.

People should encourage self reliance and give them the tools needed to provide for themselves. Not a handout as all it does is keep them in need of future handouts.

Wouldn't it be great if economic models could be encapsulated in a little catch phrase like this? What is it about business cycle stimulation that you don't understand? I don't have the will nor the energy to explain it.
