Do you think Barak Obama will keep his promise to ACORN?

What are you talking about? He has no ties to ACORN!!
(sarcasm)
BTW, did you hear that the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) filed an amicus brief on behalf of the Democratic election on Jennifer Bruner's behalf before the Supreme Court regarding the Ohio case of 200,000 fraudulent/suspicious voter registrations?
Why is that so interesting and on-topic to this question?
The SEIU was founded by the same man WHO FOUNDED ACORN.

I just watched the video. Obama promised to consult with ACORN during the transition and after his inauguration. Big deal. That means that he'll listen, not that he'll necessarily implement their ideas. You see, Obama is not a dogmatist; he'll listen to others' ideas before he dismisses them.
As for the accusation at the end that ACORN was responsible for the sub prime mortgage crisis, you can't be serious. The regulatory agencies and the lending institutions who granted those loans and then securitized them are guilty. I believe that some blame should also go to those who borrowers who knowingly borrowed beyond their means.
In any event, a message posted during the video stated that Obama and ACORN sued the banks to force loans. That's "loans", not "mortgage loans" specifically. The loans in questions could have been for any number of things, including start-up capital for new businesses. You are making a false assumption.
Furthermore, Obama is not an ACORN administrator. If there was voter fraud -- IF there was voter fraud because in this country, one is innocent until proven guilty -- then those at ACORN should be held accountable. Obama is not to blame.

Acorn has done nothing wrong. Although I cannot speak for anyone including Barack Obama, I wouldn't see any reason why anyone shouldn't support Acorn's efforts to register voters. McCain and many other Republicans have supported Acorn's efforts.
"It is ACORN that has reported almost all of the issues regarding voter registration cards to elections officials, and flagged the suspicious cards.
Invalid voter registration cards do NOT constitute voter fraud. Even RNC General Counsel Sean Cairncross has recently acknowledged he is not aware of a single improper vote cast as a result of bad cards submitted in the course of an organized voter registration effort.
ACORN hired 13,000 field workers to register people to vote. In any endeavor of this size, some people will engage in inappropriate conduct. ACORN has a zero tolerance policy and terminated any field workers caught engaging in questionable activity. At the end of the day, as ACORN is paying these people to register voters, it is ACORN that is defrauded.
ACORN Responds to Senator McCain’s Desperate Attack
October 15, 2008
On Wednesday, Oct. 15, ACORN National President Maude Hurd issued the following statement in response to Senator John McCain’s attack:
"We appreciate Senator McCain's effort to stir up the Republican base by attacking a community organization working to increase public participation in our democratic process. However, these attacks reflect an increasingly panicked candidate. Unfortunately, the Senator McCain we saw tonight is very different than the Senator McCain who stood shoulder to shoulder with ACORN at a February 20, 2006 immigration reform event.
It is clear for us to see that John McCain was for ACORN before he was against ACORN; he was for reform before he was against reform; and he was a maverick before he became erratic. What is really going on here is that Senator McCain and his allies are part of a coordinated effort to engage in what appears to be an unprecedented effort to suppress voter turnout. Repeating a lie doesn't make it true, and the McCain campaign has resorted to the worst type of deceptions in regards to ACORN."
ACORN has helped 1.3 million citizens from all parties and all walks of life apply for voter registration.
In most states, ACORN is required by law to turn in every voter registration card - even in cases where the cards are not valid."
ACORN to McCain: Have You Lost That Loving Feeling?

Senator Allied with ACORN as Recently as 2006, Now Turns Cold Shoulder
October 13, 2008, Miami, FL - U.S. Senator John McCain's recent attacks on the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) are puzzling given his historic support for the organization and its efforts on behalf of immigrant Americans. As recently as February 20, 2006, Senator McCain was the keynote speaker at an ACORN-sponsored Immigration Rally in Miami, Florida at Miami Dade College – Wolfson Campus.
The rally, co-sponsored by ACORN in partnership with the New American Opportunity campaign (NAOC), Catholic League Services – Archdiocese of Miami, Florida Immigrant Advocacy Center, Florida Immigrant Coalition, Miami Dade College, People for the American Way/Mi Familia/Vota en Accion, the Service Employees International Union, and UNITE/HERE, was intended to call attention to the need for comprehensive immigration reform.
Florida Gov. Charlie Crist, for example, partnered with ACORN in March 2008 for a "Homeownership Promotes The Economy" taskforce. More recently, Crist declared that -- contrary to GOP outrage -- he was not upset with the group's voter registration efforts in his state.
In July 2005, meanwhile, another Republican governor, Rick Perry of Texas, signed ACORN's Lending Law Reform Bill that changed the state's homelending practices.
In July 2008, California Governor and McCain supporter Arnold Schwarzenegger signed a bill that ACORN helped draft aimed at California homeowners facing foreclosure.
In June 2007, Minnesota Governor and McCain VP short-lister Tim Pawlenty signed a similar bill -- drafted by ACORN -- that helped homeowners get fairer deals on their mortgages.
As Governor of Massachusetts, Mitt Romney signed an anti-predatory lending bill that ACORN supported. In February 2006, Connecticut Senator Joe Lieberman met with the ACORN Katrina Survivors Association. And back in July 2005, New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg actually got a kiss from ACORN's state leader, according to the publication City Limits, during an announcement that the city would protect or create 65,000 affordable units in a new housing proposal. Bloomberg, it should be noted, has not endorsed a candidate.

Give it up. Republicans are involved in their own voting schemes.
