Who do you plan to vote for in the presidential election?
Please be as specific as possible as to WHY you really want this person as president. Your answer must be from fact, not hearsay or propaganda.
Example; interviews with the candidates and what they have said about policy, beliefs, etc.
Again, DON'T give me the name of the person without explaining exactly why.
If you can't explain why, then don't vote until you have a valid answer.

Remember the Clinton years?
Clinton didn't have to raise taxes to balance the budget, because of job growth.
The economy grew so well, it got rid of deficit spending and started paying down the debt!
We just need to do that again, but this time with jobs that won't have a 'bubble burst'[like the dotcoms did].
For starters, we need to maintain our infrastructure, and THAT will have to be an ongoing process from now on.
[This has been ignored on a national basis far too long]
We need to develop green technology, and green products and energy,a wide open field with incredible opportunity.
Also, paying teachers a decent wage will help stimulate the economy too, when they spend more and pay more taxes [just from the higher income]
This is just a couple of measures that will help, not the whole picture obviously, I have to save SOMETHING for when I run for president.
Obama is a true leader.
He has already said hundreds of times in his stump speech that "we need to turn off the TVs" when discussing education & child raising.
when elected, he will tell us we have to tighten our belts, not "go shopping' like his underqualified predicessor Bush did.
I am a white 51 year old veteran on disibility & an Obama Delegate, but I am not asking you to take my word for it.
Go to his website, see how he wants to make the world a better place.
I have been waiting 40 years for a candidate this exciting & origional.
I have been waiting 30 years for someone as concerned about the big picture as I've been [maintaining infrastructure, decent teacher pay & universal healthcare]
I have been waiting 20 years to believe that the younger people will get off their collective butts & try to make things better.
I have been waiting 10 years [ok 8] to put COMPETENCE back in the White House!
This truly is the most important election of your life.
VOTE FOR OBAMA/BIDEN ON NOVEMBER 4TH!

I would have voted for Ron Paul if he was till on the ballot, but, unfortunately, I'll have to choose between the lesser of two evils since independent candidates usually don't stand a chance of winning. I will be voting for McCain.
Obama has a lawsuit against him in the federal court system requiring him to produce documents proving whether or not he is a natural born citizen, a requirement for the president. He refuses.
See the links below for more information on that and how the economy and housing market got the way it is. Obama had a part in that and McCain tried to stop it. Also, there are cases filed or pending in a number of states to remove him from the ballot citing the same reasons as the federal case.

McCain/Palin.
Obama wants to "spread the wealth around." He is a socialist. He wants to raise taxes and turn this country into France, and Russia. His birth certificate has still never been verified and his associations are ridiculous. He claims that it's okay to hang around with an ex-terrorist as long as he did that stuff "a long time ago." Once a terrorist, ALWAYS A TERRORIST. He thinks America has 57 States, thinks there is a state called Massatoosits, and claims that all kids should be given "breathalyzers." His policies are all of that of a radical Marxist. He wants to take the troops out of Iraq when Iraq is now being developed. They are finally able to make schools, and some people have only 1 set of clothes and no proper home.
Obama is willing to sit down with danger world leaders without pre-condition. He says he's an average middle class man but yet he sat down with his wife and had Iranian caviar and lobster! He policies always change and if it wasn't for his speech writers, he would be nowhere.

John McCain. He's not perfect, but he's better then Obama. I'm Jewish, and I'm looking for a president who will see things similarly to the way I do in regards to the Middle East. The fact that we desperately, in America, need an alliance with Israel in the vast Middle East, a place which many fanatics have openly declared that it s Jews and America. Rev. Jesse Jackson said recently in a Post article about that: The most important change would occur in the Middle East, where "decades of putting Israel's interests first" would end.

Why weren't we having economic class warfare before the election?
And why are we even considering a candidate that is making people fight over how much money their neighbor has?
What's up with that? I thought this guy was for peace and unity....
we were not fighting before the election, people were not asking for handouts as though they should be paid to do nothing.
I have another question, how much will a plumber charge when half his money goes to taxes? Even if someone rents, that would be passed on by the landlord.
Back in the 1970s (Carter) those projects built by the government were mostly drug hotels with ripped out toilets and no heat, and no one cared because it was not theirs.
President Kennedy changed the immigration laws to even out the population, supposing Obama?
were President and he wanted to take the limit off immigration and open our boarders to all refugees from Kenya, where he campaigned for Odinga, (who lost and riots broke out). If he opened our boarders to them as refugees and put them on the welfare system he is growing, would that be OK with you, or do you think that with our economic situation, crowded roads and limited jobs it would create a strain on the United States?
Now take a guess...

McCain; Obama is an idiot.
- He wants to raise taxes on the top 5% of earners -- who already pay 40% of the entire Federal tax bill. This will reduce their ability to invest in new technology, as well as the incentive to do so -- as returns will be lower. The jobs that won't be created may include yours.
- He wants to increase capital gains taxes. This will reduce the value of securities, including those in your retirement funds. It will also cause a net DECREASE in capital gains taxes, but Obama is too stupid or too lazy to have figured this out.
- He want to "re-examine" trade policies. This is scaring the bejesus out of our trade partners; if he winds up tightening trade, everybody suffers. He is already decrying improved trade for Colombia, on the entirely spurious grounds that Colombia is not doing enough to combat its rebels.
- The Democrats want to eliminate your right to vote on a unionization election. Obama approves of this.
There are many other reasons as well, but this will give you a sense of things. An Obama election would be a disaster -- and, for the reasons stated above, could lead to a depression that could last for years.

I'm voting for McCain -- I believe is the best man for the job. He goes after the truth and is not swayed by pork bellies. Even if McCain was a very dark black man, I would still vote for him. I do not have to prove that I am not a white racist by voting for Obama. Look for the FACTS not the hate talk, opinions, or the claims. Read the facts for yourself.
Plus, Obama scares the heck out of me. Obama has some unexplained secrets about his past that he continues to hide. Also, what is this business about ACORN? Check out the web site for yourself as I did. Remember, keep the faith and try to stay opened minded. And, remember to vote!!

I actually wanted Biden to win in the primaries, then I had to choose between Edwards, Clinton, and Obama. After seeing Obama's performance in North Carolina's debate, I've been a supporter ever-since then.
Perhaps the two things that I liked the most was his position to open up transparency between government and the people. To have every meeting, proposal, and decision for everybody to see. Even at the risk of himself and other elected officials.
The second thing is his idea to appoint a new Chief Technology Officer position in his administration. That is totally innovative and thinking ahead especially in our day in age.
Lastly, when Obama picked Biden, it made me more assured about his judgement and values. It is the perfect ticket for today's crisis.

McCain/Palin - McCain has shown courage by his service to our country. McCain has a proven record in congress; one in which he has shown he will work for ALL Americans, not just those of his party affiliation. McCain has a better tax plan and healthcare plan. Palin is the best running mate he could have chosen. She's the #1 Governor in the NATION and has proven she is tough enough to take on major political forces, even in her own party. Nobama is among the most liberal politicians and has NEVER went against his party...this proves he will NOT represent ALL Americans.
