Which do you like better?
Dogs or Chickens? i like chickens more, though they aren't as affectionate, but sense they don't play around they're wiser.
and im talking about for pets, so don't mention eating them.
oh, and i guess running around yiping like a retard isn't annoying to you, eh? and chickens have been proven to be as smart, but because of ******** like you, people don't notice!
the probelm with most of you people, is that you like the animal for its looks and entertainment. dogs entertain you, and for some reason, people think their cuter. but that doesn't equal better, what they can do for you equals better.
dogs: kills more people than they save. doesn't help in any other way.
chickens: just one can make your breakfast, and entire flock can practically mow your lawn a little, fertilize your garden, kill your pests (their better at killing mice than cats are). Face it, they're the best pet you could ever get, because they help other than just eat the food you give them and go back to barking.

What's with your chicken obsession dude? You ask this question several times per day..
I have dogs and chickens, I like them both differently for different reasons. All of my dogs are very personable and want to play and be around me 24/7. My dogs do not run around yipping like 'retards.' Not that mentally handicapped people actually yip/bark, in case you didn't realize.. Dogs, when they do yip/bark, are trying to communicate so I wouldn't consider barking to be a sign of stupidity as you make it out to be. Chickens are enjoyable to keep, but, they're not going to cuddle with you while you watch a movie either. They do follow me around the yard and there are two of them that perch on my shoulders now and then. But, they aren't a substitute for a dog anymore then a dog could be a substitute for a chicken. They are completely different kinds of 'pets'.
Most people cannot legally have chickens as pets, thus, no matter how much you try to promote chickens as pet, people can't get them anyways. People can legally have dogs as pets, thus, people have dogs. I'm sure that most people that live in agricultural areas where chickens are allowed do have chickens.
In other words, your efforts to promote chickens as pets are in vain as most people live within cities and are not legally allowed to own them. If you really want to promote chickens, how about working to make it legal for some residential areas to have a couple chickens depending on lot size?
Bashing dogs doesn't make people like chickens. It just makes people who like dogs dislike you and thus dislike your message..

I've never had chickens, but hear they make good pets and are nice to have around the yard. I would definitely prefer dogs, though, as they can learn a lot of tricks (chickens may be smart, but I doubt they'd happily roll over or fetch) and are more cuddly, I guess.

uhm, i think a dog may be a better pet. ive never heard of a chicken being a pet. if your looking for being "that" guy then go for the chicken that would be freakin awesome

I like both, but if I had to pick it would be dogs. Chickens are awesome pets, and they lay tasty eggs but my dogs are more affectionate.

Quite frankly- I don't give a damn what a pet can do. I want a pet to be affectionate... at least to the degree of a cat. My favorite pet of mine is retarded!

oh well.... i dont know about a chicken but i shure LOVE chics! at my grandmas house she gets them for me and i LOVE them. But I dont think I love my chicks as much as my dogs. My dogs i playwith them you run with them and i ljust love to pet ther furry bellies in bed.
