Actually it depends what rules you are playing by, if you play by the official rules then all the, taxes, jail fees, fees of any sort, etc. go straight to the bank, and if you happen to land on Free Parking then you get nothing, but The rules also state that there are things such as "house rules" in which you can change some of the rules to what you would like them to be; the most common putting all the fees in the middle of the board, and some people even put an extra $500 in there to make it that much better when you land on it. The way I play it is that we just give all the money to the bank because when putting it in the middle it is unfair to the strong players when someone who is about to go out hitting the jackpot and bouncing back immediately.

"Free parking is a slang term for a financial crime. A money manager buys several positions on (for example) cattle futures. Say 10 "go long" future positions and 10 "go short" positions. If cattle futures go up then the 10 long positions make money, while the 10 short positions loose money. If cattle futures go down then the inverse is true. When a big move happens the manager then assigns the losing position to 10 of his clients and back dates the assignment. He then assigns the 10 winning positions (back dated) to his favored "free parking" client and then sells the 10 positions on behalf of the client for a big profit for the favored client, while eventually selling off the cheated clients positions for losses divided among the several clients. Hillary Clinton s amazing cattle future profits were suspected of having been gained through "free parking." Parking money for risk free profits.

According to the official Monopoly rules, nothing is supposed to happen when you land on Free Parking.

However, a lot of people (including me) think that's pretty boring. So what a lot of people do is whenever they have to pay Income Tax, Luxury Tax, or anything from a Chance or Community Chest card, that money goes to the middle of the board. Whenever someone lands on Free Parking, they get all the money on the middle of the board. That is sort of the "unofficial" rule when playing Monopoly with friends.

I checked Eazy-E's site he gave and it said this about Free Parking:

A player landing on this place does not receive any money, property or reward of any kind.

This is just a "free" resting-place.

However, when I used to play it we always got money...any fines that had to be paid went here instead of to the bank. Also, I think we might have put some money on it when it was empty and just kept adding to it. Play however way you want as long as everyone is in agreement.

Well actually, I'm pretty sure the rules don't say anything about you getting money, that's just something that people made up along the way.
