2003 Corvette ABS & taction control lights?

I'm buying a used but sharp 2003 C5 vette, the seller says he had the ABS module rebuilt but it still has to go get the computer reset. Will this still function even with the warning light illuminated?

ABS and traction control are two different functions. I'd have him get it reset or at least contact a corvette repair shop or dealership and find out how much it could cost. Anything computer related can be pricey on a vette.

Normally the computer resets itself after the car is turned off then back on - if the light is still coming up he might not have replaced the proper ABS part.

It could be any one of the ABS sensors by the wheels as well.

Get the current owner to fix these issues before you get the title, it might end up costing alot. The ABS sensors are not cheap either!

If the ABS light is on then the Brakes will go into emergency mode which means they will lock up if you hit the brakes hard like cars used to do. If it has all wheel drive it could cause your system not to function properly on wet or frozen surfaces. Geter fixed

Sounds like the computer is going bad. This is a quick $1,500 plus.....beware
