NO! Hot dogs are the #1 killer of children under age five. Once it starts to thaw, a piece of it may come off and your baby could choke. Just get a teething ring for pete's sake! You can get them at the dollar store or the dollar tree, they do not need to be expensive, just make sure it is made for teething.

First of all, take a deep breath and relax. Yes, it is normal. When my babies teethed, they were fussy, had loose stools, and were not interested in anything but a bottle. I found that giving ibuprofen every 4-6 hours helped alot. The other thing they liked was a frozen washcloth. I would get a small corner wet and freeze it. Then I gave it to them to chew on, but only the part that "froze" would be in their mouth. That way their little hands wouldn't get too cold. The baby teething pain gel works pretty good too. Hope this helps!

No! Anything frozen can be hazardous actually, think of frostbite on baby's gums! The best thing we found for teething is a cold wet washcloth, I'd keep a few in baggies in the fridge. The texture of the cotton is soothing as is the cold and my kids liked sucking on them too.
Good luck to you and your little one!

Please don't give your baby a frozen wiener to chew on because he/she can choke on it if it thaws out or the baby can bite off a piece of it and choke. Try a teething ring or put an ice cube in a rag and give it to the baby. If that doesn't work then try teething tablets.

No ~ that is not a good idea at all
A frozen waffle would be a better option but why not just purchase a couple teething rings that are for babies

Frozen franks could easily thaw out and become a choking hazard.
Stick to teething rings or biscuits.

No, don't let him chew on that. We have a teething necklace for my son, they don't chew on it, just wear it and it's made of amber and it releases something that helps soothe them, he's had 5 teeth break through since getting it, including a molar last night and no fussing at all, e used to fuss alot when he was teething

No, not at all. He could easily choke on it once a piece comes loose. It's better to use a frozen washcloth.

Nope, for the same reasons as the first 2 answerers, plus hot dogs are just nasty. Do you know what kinds of weird animal by-products and chemical preservatives go into those? Not baby-appropriate at all.
