As Powell was pushing for War against Iraq, doesn't his endorsement of Obama put Barack more in the Bush camp?

Powell is showing his true color(s).

p.s. Hey Bull! I served under Powell in Desert Storm. I will NEVER respect this man again. He is a turncoat and a traitor!

Obama does not have all the votes that Powell can deliver. He was and has remained very popular with his troops in the 1st Gulf War, Schwartzkopf will be next to come over. Also, Powell is highly respected amongst the officer corps as well as the non-com ranks. He also enjoys a great deal for respect amongst my generation, the RVN vets where he lead with VALOR. He will have a large influence on the GI vote. Troops trust their Commanders. In return for Powell's endorsement, I hope Obama appoints Powell Secretary of Defense so he can get the Pentagon reigned in and running right and true.

No because when Powell was Sec. of State, the war was going bad. Period and Enough Said.

Won't make a difference. Powell lost my respect years ago. And by saying Palin is not ready to be VP, but Obama is ready to be Pres just shows that Powell's judgment is very poor right now.

I think it is but I'm not sure if the far rights will care. On Meet the Press, he gave very legitimate reasons for his support and summed up my feelings about this election perfectly and so eloquently. However, most of the reactions I saw from Republicans ignored these legitimate reasons and just basically consisted of "Traitor".

Colin has struck his colors. It now seems that Beauty is skin deep but color goes to the bone, beauty fades with age but color holds it's own

No, not really. It might piss some people off into voting against barry, but that's about all.

This is really strange, now Democrats are saying he is some kind of Military hero. what a turn around, just a few days ago he was being called an uncle Tom, War monger for Bush/Cheney. when I said there were plenty of qualified blacks to be President.

I wonder what they'll say if Condi endorses Barry?

I do not believe that it will swing many votes, if any. Yes, he is respected, but Obama already has all the votes that Powell could bring.

    Yes.

Tho I think alot of people connect Colin Powell with the Iraq war, others can see he was the fall guy for Bush's mistakes.
