How much memory is required to run Civilization IV?
Assuming that I have sufficient memory built in to my Inspiron 6000 Dell laptop, if I placed all my data files on a auxiliary hard disk, and purchased the necessary graphic card, could I run Civilization IV?

Just check your system against it. Civ 4 isn't graphics intensive.
You might just have to go here, and select Civ IV.

It requires 512 MB RAM.
