I believe it is because there are so many people stuck in the herd mentality. They see all the things that there are to buy, they try to keep up with the Joneses. Even charging things that they don't really need on credit cards and end up carrying large balances, making minimum payments and paying out the wazoo for interest on these items as well.
More people would have more money if they didn't spend it all on things that are not really neccesary or useful and used in everyday life.
For example how many kitchen gadgets are there advertised on the shopping channels... How many of us get along just fine without them and never miss them?

The wealthy aspired to be more than middle class. They did not settle on anything less until they achieved their desired success. The wealthy did not do stupid things with money they didn't have. The wealthy set goals and had a gameplan. EVERYONE has the power to become wealthy. Unfortunately, only a few have the will to.

Interesting question for a (supposed) mccain supporter...
and... it's spelled "ubermensch" (with an s)
if Nietzsche were alive today, I'm quite certain he wouldn't be a republican (or necessarily a democrat), particularly in the neo-con form (he was an ardent atheist).

Get a clue man, have you ever read any history books. You won't find the truth in comics, campaign slogans or in action movies.
