Austalia has a higher score on the HDI (human development index) which takes into account a number of factors such as standard of living. Australia has a HDI of 0.962 (3rd highest country) while U.S.A. has an HDI of 0.951 putting it in 12th. That's the statistical answer though and different people will have different opinions and in my opinion Australia is one of the sickest countries on Earth. I would love to go there one day it looks exactly my type of place.
