Is it too late for an American living abroad to vote?

I live in Israel but I voted in the last election in Texas. I called the Embassy and they sent me to a website online which insinuated that a person should already have been registered a long time ago. Also the instructions as to what to do were extremely hard to follow. Is there a simple way to vote besides actually traveling to the States?

Well, if you haven't already registered to vote, I'd say it is too late. If you're not already registered it would be too late to vote in most states even if you were in the US.

It varies from state to state. Today is the last day to register in California; some states stopped accepting registration on October 4. If you are already registered, you could request an "absentee" or "vote by mail" ballot, but it takes several weeks for that to be mailed and verified. Since you live overseas you might have a problem proving residency.

You can try, but yeah, it's probably too late.
