I messed up my computer. It does a countdown after the windows then goes off..?

I was wondering if it can be fixed without taking it anywhere. I guess I messed with the frequency.. If someone would be able to help me, they'd be most appreciated. Thanks

See if you can start it in "SafeMode", and then undo the thing you did, then reboot it. To get in SafeMode, press "F8" while booting up- I usually keep punching the F8 key until it goes to the window allowing you to choose safemode. I hope you remember what you did.

When you say you messed the the frequency, what do you mean by that? Did you change anything on your computer?

When you get the System shutdown message, does it tell you what initiated the shutdown? Perhaps try google'ing the shut down message.

Is your Antivirus up to date? I'd be looking at running a complete scan in safemode (Refer to the above post) using McAfee Stinger which can be download for free here: http://vil.nai.com/VIL/stinger
