To start the only people that can own real Property in the Philippines are Filipinos. The only thing a foreigner can own is a condo. Properties listed on websites and the internet are usually way overpriced because people here know the only people looking for property on the internet are "dumb foreigners".
The only alternative to buying a condo is renting with a lease. 25 year renewable leases are as close to ownership as it gets and are legal.
Land fraud is so common in the Philippines it should be listed as a national pastime. It literally takes years to get someone into court. Provided of course they just don't disappear with your money.
If your married to a Filipino they own the property , not you.
