I'm almost 33 weeks along and I'm pretty sure that I'm coming down with a respiratory bug, I'm worried...?

It really feels like the onset of bronchitis. I see the doctor tomorrow, but I'm a little freaked right now.

Have any of you had to deal with crud like this while you were pregnant? What happens to the baby when I'm sick? Does it get sick too? I know that symptoms like fever and such are dangerous for the baby, but do the actual germs and infection reach and/or harm the baby itself?

Thanks for you help everyone.

A respiratory bug such as bronchitis should not harm your baby in any way. And since you are seeing your doctor tomorrow, he will be able to provide you with antibiotics that are safe for use during pregnancy that will get rid of it. Don't worry, everything is fine.

I had a horrible gastro bug the other week - I could not stop throwing up and had horrible diarrhea, I couldn't eat and was outragiously sick, My little one is fine. It's only if you let illnesses get out of control that it could be harmful. Sounds like you are going to keep yours under control as you are visiting the doctor - all is good!

I have had pnumonia 3 times with this pregnancy and I was put on a series of inhailers. No problems with my baby. My first 2 I had the same thing and they are both fine.

Get it treated and take care.

The baby is protected in the womb, none of your symptoms will affect it except fever. I have laryngitis and i've been sick during previous pregnancies and nothing has happened to my babies.
