Gateway specifications say it supports:
Intel® Core™2 Duo processor in an LGA775 socket with a 1066 or 800 MHz system bus
The latest Bios is dated 4/4/2007
Some of the early Core 2 Duo's should be okay. I don't know if the Bios will recognize the newer ones.
Core 2 Duo E6700 (2.66GHz,1066FSB)
Core 2 Duo E6600 (2.40GHz,1066FSB)
Looking at another Intel 945G motherboard, the Asus P5L-VM 1394, it lists all compatible CPU's and no Quad Cores are on the list.

There aren't any retailers in the business of selling laptop motherboards. Let alone one that would even fit your particular laptop shell. You're out of luck. Either accept the facts and move on, or, buy a new laptop with a faster CPU and GPU like you're needing. It's that simple.
