How does North Carolina legally define a car?
I'm a little disappointed with the traditional design of vehicles and seriously considering an alternative approach to personal mobility. Before I do this, I need to know what it means for a car to be street legal in North Carolina.
I'm also very poor but at the same time I don't want to waste years of my life making payments on a used P.O.S. Before I do something radically different, I need to know what the state of North Carolina will allow me to operate.
I've been seriously considering trikes but in North Carolina there's a huge obstacle for new drivers.
You're not allowed to have a motorcycle license until after you first obtain a license for a car. =(

The question is.."What does NC legally define as a "motorcycle?
a Car has 4 wheels, Crash safety bumpers, and seat belts and all that.
But if it`s a 3 wheeler, then it is a "motorcycle"! less to insure, less to license
