Cyndi Lauper song in horror movie?
I'm having flashbacks of this horror movie I saw as a kid. It's from the 80's and I remember there being some sort of apocalyptic situation going on. The scene I'm thinking of in particular is one where these girls are in an abandoned mall and they turn on the song "girls just wanna have fun" and then these mutant dudes show up who look like Freddy Krueger. Anybody know what I'm talking about?

I think it is called Night of The Comet...A tail of a comet hits earth a turns everyone into zombies, two girls survive though. I think they are locked in some kind of steal chamber, anywho, they go to the mall and have a good time trying on clothes and stuff because nobody is there, then they have to fight the zombies.

poodles was right, that's the name of the movie, it's one of my favorites. but wrong on one thing. they were in fact mutants, as the question was asked, not zombies. according to the movie, zombies were fully infected by the comet, and the guys at the mall were not.
