Starting a Mary Kay Cosmetics Business?

I am thinking about selling Mary Kay. How does a person go about it and does it cost much to get started? I had been told that there is alot to go through before someone can get started selling Mary Kay. Is there really alot to go through?

All you need to do to get started is order the start kit $100 plus shipping 8.75 and your state tax. Not sure why you have been told there is a lot to go through like any new job we offer orientation and training but it is all optional it is your business to do as you want to do.

The starter kit comes with a DVD a CD and training manual as well of tons of information on the Mary Kay Consultant website so what you do or how much is up to you.

When I started Mary Kay I worked a full time job 42 miles away had a 2 year old and no free time. I found Mary KAy very easy to slip into my life even today I meet my customers at the doctors office hairdresses and every where else I do my daily errands. Doing business with people who I do business.

  • I never made a penny. Though I became a rich women with friends and I received a wealth of self esteem and business savvy sales tools that I have taken into another sales career in which I make over $80,000 a year. Don't put up the big bucks for an initial order, do it a little at a time and go to the meetings for all the right reasons. Many women are very successful at Mary Kay, I was not. Though I joined again several years ago as a personal consultant and I buy 2 or 3 times a year for myself and my sisters so I can continue to get products at the 50% off. Good luck!

    Hello,

From personal experience, I would not suggest any woman join a direct selling company. I speak from experience.

You will work extremely hard and not get much from your efforts.

I don't mean to be a discourager, but, I have been associated with several home party plans. Mary Kay does offer 50% commission, but after your expenses, you will not be making much at all. Yes, there is alot to go through, training, monthly meetings and so forth. If you do proceed wisely manage your money and do not go into debt!

    Good Luck!

    Warm Regards,

    Hello!

To start with Mary Kay, you would talk to a consultant and get a facial to try out the product and hear the marketing plan. It costs $100 to get started but the starter kit you receive contains $300 worth of product. You don't have to jump through hoops to work this business. We work with you and teach you how to "sprinkle" Mary Kay in your life and get the results you want. You can take it in any direction.

If you would like, we can discuss it further. You can email me at sbeasla@marykay.com or check out my website: www.marykay.com/sbeasla

Mary Kay is a money loser for most women who get tangled up with it. Check out http://www.pinktruth.com/ about that.
