Why Does Paul Pierce Still Claim He Is the Best Player on the Planet?

He wishes, he just got lucky last year, LeBron almost put him away last year but will this year.

Right now paul pierce is the best player on teh celtics, he can score from 3, the line, slashing, plays good perimeter D, rebounds and assists. Kevin Garnett is better defensively, and is the reason for the turnaround season but pierce is superior offensively at this point. (game 7 of the second round pierce scored like 45 and lebron scored 51, i dont even think kg ever scored 45 in any game in his career). Dont get me wrong kevin garnett changed the intensity and dedication of all the players on teh C's. Pierce won nba finals mvp, thats why he thinks hes the best player. What does turning down UCLA have to do with anything! that was over 10 years ago, Adam Morrisson also was college play of the year, and Micheal Olowakandi was number1 pick, and they both suck. Remember JJ Reddick, that guy cant even get off the bench. College has nothing to do with the NBA. Pierce is cocky and confident, its the key to his game. Remember Pierce was 2 wins away from taking a team with Antoine Walker as the 2nd best player to the NBA finals, (2002 i think against the nets). Hes not the best player in the league, but if you asked, kobe AI or lebron who they thought was teh best theyd all probably say themselves, its part of sports.
