Do you look like someone who listens to what you listen?

If you like Metal or Rock, are you all in Black, long hair, pale face, rebellious, guitar-skilled, wearing band Tees or Satan Pentagrams?

If you like Pop and Rap, do you dress in those baggy pants and shirts and do you love to dance and to be girly?

Of course those were stereotypes, and I don't fit in them, because I dress normally, have medium lenght hair (even though I plan to have it longer) and glasses... Kinda nerdy, but I liste to Metal and Rock, and today my friend seemed surprised when I was looking for a Metak band on the Internet and said "You listen to hard rock?".

So, do you fit in those stereotypes?

Yes, except for being rebellious, guitar skilled, and dressed in black.

    My favorite genre is metal.

I think that I fit the stereotype on the outside. Today I am wearing nothing but black and my shirt is an unearth t-shirt. I do not have a pail face though (I think thats more of an emo stereotype anyways). Also, I would have long hair and gauges in my ears if my mom let me. I will when I move out.

But, on the inside I don't feel like I fit the metal stereotype at all. I have had people tell me that I am an eight year old in a seventeen year olds body. Also, my best friend told me the other day that he's never seen me get mad. Both of those things go against the metal stereotype of being an angry person.

A little. I listen to rock (not very heavy stuff though), and i have long hair, but not really a pale face. I do, however, HATE fake tan! I wear jeans, rock tees and eyeliner. But i also wear a lot of dresses. I love the rock chick style, but i don't fit into a stereotype really.

If you looked at me, you wouldn't be able to tell what I listen to. I look like a nerd with creativity genes because of my various clothing. I have glasses and wear both light and dark colored clothing depending on what I want to wear. My shirts are never plain; they always have a design of some sort on them. I usually wear (very) dark blue jeans or shorts, but I will wear black or light blue shorts sometimes as well. I always wear a watch as well. I don't wear band tees as I can't find them anywhere except for the internet.

Would you be able to tell what a person who dresses like this listens to? Thumb up if yes, thumb down if no.

I guess you could say that I dress like a slacker on the weekend, and kind of like a slacker with an office job during the week.

I've got a beard a good portion of the time, I wear band t-shirts (or just t-shirts that I think are neat) and jeans or long shorts when I'm not at work, generally jeans and a polo shirt during the week. You could probably look at me, particularly when I'm not at work and make an educated guess as to what music I'm into.

Well I like Metal and Rock...I ain't pale faced or rebellious...I wear band t shirts every now and then..I can play guitar and other instruments...I don't really dress all in black...my hair changes length all the time and I am a happy dude with a good life and not much to complain bout sept my father...but ye I am pretty 'normal' I think...and people see me and don't really think I listen to Opeth and what not...cause I listen to Taking Back Sunday and that two....so you know....

That sounds confusing...hope you know what I Mean

I used to be a crust punk, I dressed like that. The black tight pants, the bullet belt, black jacket with patches all over...

I got pregnant and I stopped because I realized I was going to have a baby, and I needed to grow up. Now I dress "sophisticated" I guess you can say. My musical interests have changed as well. I'm not so close-minded anymore...

I've been into the punk scene for the past 16 years but I never dressed or looked like I did. People are usually shocked when they find out what I listen. And all my friends still have that punk look so I stick out more for looking "normal".

Everyone's very surprised to find out what I listen to. Then I ask them what they would think I'd listen to, and they're always like... uh, nothing? So, apparently I look like I'd listen to nothing. My style's very eclectic... very '80s influenced, too, so maybe I look like I'd listen to '80s music, which is true... I love synthpop from time to time. This is a difficult question to answer since my style changes from day to day depending on my mood, and my musical tastes range from blues to Motown to '80s pop to psychedelic to progressive rock to metal... So I think I'll stop now before I begin making even less sense.

I just wear regular t-shirts and jeans/cargo shorts, occasionally a polo shirt. I guess you could say I'm a bit "nerdy". Some people are surprised I like the music I like, but those are only the people who listen to all the Disney sh*t.
