I being a person of faith have always wondered when the tv pastor lays his hands on people and they fall down, do you think thats real. I had that happen to me once and I swear to this day the guy pushed me over.. I would love your take on this ( benny Hinn for instance)

I enjoy watching them early Saturady mornings, it's good to get a laugh. The problem is that they 'draw near to me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me' (Isaiah) If you listen carefully it is just a twisted way of reading the scriptures and twisting them to say that you have to give lots of money. I was watching one once and they said that to be fully blessed you have to give $1000 right then. To me that's more focused on money not God! It's all show and therefore fake!

It's just a way to scam faithful believers out of money. Just do a search on somebody like Benny Hinn and how the IRS is hunting him down for tax fraud. He's a wolf in sheep's clothing.

Benny Hinn is as real as the wrestles on TV. TV evangelist have been caught so many times faking it that it is hard to believe that anyone could still fall for this scam.

The power of God is real, but whether everyone who claims to have access this power in front of a TV camera is genuine in their claim, (r their intent) is beyond question.
Lots of it is fake, or at the very least exaggerated.
I have fallen over in church twice when being prayed for, both times in 1996 and about two months apart. It hadn't happened before and it's never happened since. It was real for me then. But my dad had a man try to push him over one time so I know that happens to.
There is no definitive answer, except that it is possible that it is God's genuine action as God really does do this to some people. (But it's more likely fake, or as I say it's made to look more than it actually is.)
But why watch TV anyway, if you want to know what God is up to then find a church which is doing the sort of stuff you are interested in investigating and see it with our own eyes...it's pretty easy to see when people are being pushed about (or are falling over deliberately even without a push) if you're actually there.
But...what if it's real...and God really is doing amazing stuff: it's worth the risk to be there, but be careful eh?

I went to a Benny Hinn crusade once and honestly, I wasn't sure what to make of it. At one point he raised his hands and everyone in the choir fell backwards. I remember thinking that looked awfully fake. He did the same thing to the audience and it startled me so bad I tripped and almost fell backwards myself, but that certainly wasn't the power of the Holy Spirit lol.

Unfortunately, there is likely some fakery there. Regarding the actual preachers who are just teaching/preaching, I don't suspect them nearly as much as the healers. It is a real gift, but in that area, I am sometimes suspicious. If I remember correctly there is something Biblically wrong regarding singular healing, either it has to be done by elders, or by more than one minister, or something like that.

Yes, I believe Benny Hinn is for real. But there is always going to be counterfeits in this world. It says in the Bible that we are to try the spirits. That means we take the Word of God and see if they line up to it. If they don't they are not to be trusted.

Fake...Did you ever read of Jesus knocking one down to heal them??? No. The Bible tells us for healing to go to the elders (learned ones) and have them anoint with oil and pray. Never saw Hinn do this....The word Christ means the anointed one. The oil does not heal one; it represents Christ and Jesus Christ is the one that heals.

I think most if not all of them are con men working on the shady side of the law
