1) x + (x+2) + (x+4) = 39
3x + 6 = 39
3x = 32
x = 11
The numbers are therefore 11, 13, 15
2) Opening bid = x
3x + 35 = 560
3x = 525
x = $175
3) Supplementary angles add up to 180 degrees.
x = one angle
9x = other angle
sum = 180
10x = 180
x = 18
Other = 18 * 9 = 162
