I've got a yellow shirt that hasn't been washed, should I put it in with the darks or lights?

    Darks, light colors and whites...what would be your guess?

    Yes....yellow is a light color.

    Light yellow or dark yellow??

    I usually put yellow in with the white stuff, i've never had yellow fade but it will get gray if you put it in with something dark.

    Dark. Most clothing sold is prewashed anyways so you don't really have much to worry about :)

    Thumbs down? If it's bright yellow, you don't want it going in with your whites for the slight chance the colours run! Dark stuff that has already been prewashed is not going to affect the colour of the shirt. You need to be worried about the NEW shirt ruining OLD shirts. Jeeze you guys... I've done a lot of laundry.

    If it's pale yellow, then it's obvious that it goes in white...and this question wouldn't have to be asked.

    Depending on the material, it'd be safer with the darks. If you have any doubts, it's best to wash everything in cold. Your clothes will last longer, and you can was everything together.
