What Essential oils or natural products to rub on cats to help them get along?
Cats live in the world of scent.. I was told that if I "perfumed" all the cats with the same scent it would help them get along. We have had these cats for over a year and one cat fights all the others. Does anyone know of a "safe" "natural" scented oil or perfume or cologne I could use to make them all smell the same to hopefully get them to start to get along better? one that is safe for them to ingest cause they will lick it off them selves eventually I know that they may never get along but I would like to at least try some other things before I call it quits and give up.

Please, do not use essential oils on cats. Most of them will make them sick and some can kill them.
Who told you that if they smelled alike they'd get along better? That is not true and it is irresponsible to tell someone that and then not provide a source for the solution.
I"m a big fan of Tellington TTouch for cats. You can get books on the main website and see some of the techniques on YouTube. It makes real changes in their personalities.

You can buy a spray from your Vet which is a hormone spray and which you probably won't be able to smell but which they will be. It is a "feel good" hormone spray which helps cats feel safe and happy. You spray it on all your furniture. You can also use a face flannel and wipe it first on one cat, then on the next and so on, so that their own natural scent is put onto the next cat and the next and they all end up with a mix of their own scents. Do it with a dry flannel. Can you also swap their food bowls around too, because each of those bowls will have the individual cat's smell on it as well. Good luck.

All you need to do is rub baby powder on all of them. I have 4 cats that are all friends however when one goes to the vet clinic and comes back the others hiss at it because it smells different. Vet recomended we just rub each cat with baby powder. Hope this helps
