You pointed out the personell difference, obviously.

However, there were a lot of differences, especially in the past when WWF/E actually had visible competition in terms of a Professional Wrestling show. Noticeably, the Attitude Era was more storyline-driven, and mostly not around being champion. The characters and personas drove the storylines more than anything else, not always the idea of competition.

Also, a lot of foolish antics were accepted back then, titles lost a lot of prestige, and a lot of wrestlers had to take on a persona or do crazy segments to be regarded. It's tamer today with that than in the past, and the antics are less raunchy (with exception to Edge and Lita's "sex" celebration).

Some divisions that were bad in the past are also bad today. For example, the Intercontinental Title Division wasn't very great after The Rock and HHH were pushed to main-event status, and the title still lacked prestige for a long time. However, today the Womens Division is way better than in the past, almost light years better.

The Attitude Era did have better overall performers, but however, not all of them were utilized to their potential, a problem which exists today.

Attitude era was far better, better scripting, storylines and overall best WOW factor. Stone Cold was maybe not the best wrestler but he is one of the best showmen EVER. The guys apart from HBK, Undertaker and HHH are not on the same level in terms of entertainment, the attitude era will live forever but what would this era be called, there is very little that has really been memorable in this era apart from maye Eddie G beating Brock Lesner for the title.

attitude era, the creative team just cant compare to the gr8ness of the attitude era

there are too many classic moments in the attitude era, and plus all my fave wrestlers are in both so its a matter of performance to me

i think the wwe should step up their game more and try to create a classic era now

  • Well there is a huge difference between the Attitude Ara and Today's Ara, In the Attitude Ara, there was Monday Night War's agaisnt WCW, Stonecold and The Rock became the face of the company,WWF added more violence and cursing, The where edgy Storyline's and Gimmicks to catch the wrestling fans attention, Their was alot of famous Dominate Stables and More Stipulations and different matches was introduced Like hell in the Cell and Inferno Match.

Today's Era started when WWF created Smackdown and we was starting to less violence and less cursing in matches, everything is based on money and ratings, alot of things are so kid friendly and Vince decides to call his wrestlers "Entertainers" or "Superstars" to avoid paying taxes to Athletic Commission.

Q1- World Champions Today, if you think about it, there have been some awesome wrestlers who have held the title in the past 5 years- Jericho, Guerrero, Orton

Q2- Tag Teams Attitude Era, the awesome hardyz, back then they were more xtreme, and the dudleys, were also great (now washed up)

Q3- Draw, both are great, DX back then were awesome, now they are annoying, but Evolution, and La Famila have been great in the past 5 years.

Q4- Attitude Era Talent, some people dont recognise it, but Kurt Angle is one of the best wrestlers in history, great mic skills and in- ring

EDIT- Oh, well I guess Attitude Era just, but WWE today is still alright

Attitude era is best. It was a time when WWF wasnt afraid to offend anyone and when you went to a live event of theirs it felt like it was something special that aimed toward everyone. i had this feeling myself when I went to my first attitude era event when I was 4. Now it's aimed toward the little kids more. I.E. Hornswoggle, Cena acting as superman.

Each Wrestler compares to another. Example The Rock- Cena. Both have good mic skills, charisma Wrestling. Both booed as a face. Cheered as heels. Large fan base.
