my gf broke up with me because she made out with another guy at a party and said i would have just broken up with her. she doesn't want to get back together because she doesn't want to hurt me again, thinks i can do better and is doing this for me. iv tried to get back together for like 2 weeks but she doesn't want to. Do you think she is lying and doesn't want to get back together for another reason? or should i keep trying?

Yes she could be lying to you but at this point why does it matter when she has clearly stated that she doesn't want to be with you.
