How long after getting married did it take for you to respond to someone addressing you by your new last name? Any funny stories about it?

Hmm...seems like it didn't take too long. My main problem was remembering to sign things with my new last name, but it didn't take long to adjust. Now my maiden name sounds funny to me.

A few months. I went from a very Polish last name to another name people can't pronounce on the first try. At least my married name is shorter.
