What happens if you tie a sock around a cats waist?

I was told that they can't walk if they have a sock tied around the waist. Even if it isn't tight. I am not going to try it. Just wondering if anyone has heard of this or seen it.

I don't know about the sock thing (frankly, I've never considered tying a sock around my cats), but when I tried to harness train one of my cats (when he was a kitten) he would just fall over and look bewildered, and when he tried to get up he would fall over again. Actually, that has happened to 2 kittens I tried to harness train. The harness seemed to totally throw their balance off and freak them out. Needless to say, those two kitties did not get harness trained, however I do have one cat that was harness trained as a kitten and she is a natural, no problems.

The cat would probably get agitated. They will still be able to walk, if they really want to - but I'm assuming you know the attitude of a cat - and they're not going to do anything or let you do anything they're not cool with. I've even tried putting little sweaters/funny clothes on my cats - they weren't having any of it! They wiggled their ways right out and that was that.

They would probably be really annoyed and try their best to remove it. They are amazingly good at removing any type of "clothing." I have played with my cats and tied a loose scarf around their neck or tail and they got rid of it right away. Once my sister and I put her deceased dog's sweater on one of her cats and he walked right out of it.

If you tie a sock around a cats waist it will rip your heart out and show it to you as you die.Cats are funny like that.

I heard about this as a kid and did it. It's true. It does not have to be tight at all, just loosely wrapped around it. They absolutely will fall, and I have no clue as to why.... equilibrium?

well, first, i bet they would be mad.

Second, if they have to, they will walk. But it is extremely uncomfortable.

I'll tell you what happens. You become a total idiot. Find another hobby that doesn't make your cat miserable.
