what would you do-i planned a vacation w/my family (mom, sis & bro in law) that i didnt realize conflicts with?
the charity event that i volunteered for! Do I cancel my vacation to maintain my commitment or do i go ahead and go on my 5 day 4 night vacation which has been rescheduled due to health and family deaths about 5-6 times. I want to do both but the cost to get a flight back for the charity event and return to the vacation were more than i can afford.
Help!
i probably should have mentioned that i volunteered w/this charity for this event the past 6 years and have progressively increased my responsibilies. I know all of the regular donors and they know me. I even have a friendship w/the president of the charity

your family loves you, and if you feel it is important to cancel the vacation for charity work, I am sure they will understand, just make sure you make time for you family. I am sure they are behind you 100%.so don't feel like you have to please everyone all the time, it wil stress you out. talk it out with you family, and comprimise. good luck

Talk to the people and tell them what happened. Ask if there is something you can do for them when you return. The money is spent no one can afford to travel to and from a vacation. Go and have a good time. There are many charities you can help with I'm sure!

I'm sure the folks at the charity even will understand if you went on vacation. After all, it's not like you're getting paid.
