Obama does not have an idea of taking guns away from citizens.

Helping people from death row that had no connection to the crime with DNA confirming the innocence will help lower the crime of innocent people getting put to death.

He will do whatever he can to remove guns from the hands of citizens. Another thing, he has proposed a 500 % increase on taxes for the sale of ammunition plus he has plans to criminalize anyone protecting their homes with a firearm from forced invasion. Remember the last time when the firearms were removed form citizens? A control issue.

I don't know about your second question but regarding your first, of course it will lower the crime rate. Though there will always be a lot of crime, there would be even more if he hadn't planed of taking them away. Not even for crime, but safety reasons. Earlier this year a classmate of mine was killed from a gun with shot off accidently.

He isn't "taking guns away", he's for stricter gun control. So are most Americans.
