was ralph nader ever a republican or democrat?
as far as i know, its obvious the political arena is dominated by a 2 party system. even these other parties, whether their intentions are good or not, are full of washed up republicans and democrats. as far as i know everybody started their career and made it into the game the way its been done for years now lurking onto one of the major parties to be elected.
i always find it comical when i hear those folks who like to rant about the 2 party system and how its bad and what not as a means to vote third party as if they are above the fray or righteous. it may be true that the third party candidates genuinely would like to change things for the better but whos to say the major party candidate doesnt either? and if they are so committed to making real change why dont they try harder and for example..unite behind one third party candidate? it is probably a money issue until you realize there is no reason they cannot raise as much money as the major parties through public financing or otherwise. they arent giving any effort and its likely because they know theres no light at the end of the tunnel, just gimmicks. offering a different choice to vote for the sake of democracy with no goals of winning.
nader was never a politician if im not mistaken so he is the only 'real choice' if you will. doesnt change the fact that if a third party will ever win the office of presidency, it will only occur when an independent with alot of money on hand is on the ballot. too bad nader is neither filthy rich nor has the ample connections

It's true, money is a big issue. You need all of it to put up advertisements and gain popularity, and after being popular, you get more money. Cruel cycle.
Nader was never part of either dominant party, he thinks both are full of evil bureaucrats. However, Republicans did once help put him on the state ballots (that's the only instance I'm aware of).
And you are right, whose to say that the major party candidate doesn't really want to work for change? Unfortunately, a lot of these "change" ideas are repressed and diluted to appeal to crowds that they don't want to, in order to win the popular vote.

You know, who the hell cares! Both the democrats and republicans are snakes in the grass. Jessie Ventura calls them a choice between coke and pepsi. They call the debates that Obama and McCain put on "the plastic debates". Today Joe Bidden, the elitist, like Obama, has decided he doesn't like the question a reporter's asked of him, so he will not allow that smaller station to interview him or his democratic campaign again.
I say it again, our government, owned by big corporations, has us over a barrel. What we see and hear on TV has us in a trance. The speculators on wall street walked away with millions, if not billions, and we the tax payers are paying for its destruction. The Clinton administration started this deregulation, yet we all forget, or just don't want to believe this. The republicans are not better, with their trickle down policies.
Ralph Nader is an Independent, and always was a crusader for the rights of the people.

i think of there's a huge gamble... definitely everyone seems to be ill of this blatherskite from the democrats and republicans. faster or later, human beings gets that it is not working of their superb interest the two way. human beings think of the Republican social gathering is the social gathering of huge enterprise, and that they are.... yet what the prevalent American does not look to get is that so too is the Democratic... they are purely nicer approximately it and all-together extra likeable. besides, a sort of days, definitely everyone seems to be going to understand that, in the words of Abraham Lincoln, "a house divided against itself can not stand." So too this great united states of ours won't stand plenty longer with those 2 events refusing to paintings together and refusing to place aside alterations to extra suitable the rustic that all of us love. once you have one social gathering in skill, you have a despot. once you have 2 events vying for skill, you have a civil conflict. once you get a third (the two effectual) social gathering in touch, then you incredibly could have a democracy in a bigger form; it incredibly is going to enable for talk and extra suitable stability in the three branches of government.
